Tens of thousands of U.S. companies supplying goods to Wal-Mart were expected by Oct. 1 to provide the retail goliath with information about the impact their products have on the environment and workforce. But while the information may answer Wal-Mart's questions, it's raising a host of others for the chemical industry.
