Link found between high cholesterol,PFOA in lawsuit class members

The C8 Science Panel has found that adults who participated in the C8 Health Project and have higher blood levels of C8-also known as perfluorooctanoic acid,or PFOA-have higher cholesterol levels than those with lower C8 blood levels.But according to an Oct.15 statement from the three-member panel,"no conclusions can be made about C8 causing the increase in cholesterol because cholesterol and C8 were measured at the same time in this population,and there is no way to determine which one came first."
