PMRA publishes 2009-2010 pesticide re- evaluation workplan

On Sept. 15 (REV2009-07), Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency published its 2009-2010 pesticide workplan for re-evaluating older pesticides with current scientific standards to ensure they are still acceptable. The following active ingredients are to be addressed from April 2009 to March 2010: 1. 1-Bromo-3-Chloro-5,5-Dimethylhydantoin 2. 1,3-dichloro-5,5-dimethylhydantoin (Halane) 3. 1,3-dichloro-5-ethyl-5 methylhydantoin 4. 1,4-bis(bromoacetoxy)-2-butene 5. 3-(trimemoxysilyl)-propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride 6. 5-chloro-2(2,4-dichlorophenoxyl)phenol 7. Acrolein 107-02-8 N- Alkyl-1,3 Propanediamine Monobenzoate.
