EPA:Dupont violated TSCA by withholding PFOA data

EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance last week announced it will take administrative action against DuPont for failing to report information on the potential hazards of perfluorooctanoic acid.EPA July 8 said it believes DuPont accumulated between June 1981 and March 2001 evidence that PFOA,which it uses in manufacturing processes,poses a substantial risk of injury to human health and the environment but did not inform the agency as required by federal law.Specifically,EPA will charge the company with two violations of TSCA and one violation of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
