Synthesis and Antifungal Potential of 4-Thiazoiidinones

摘要

Synthesis of 2-substituted phenyl-3-(4-chlorophenyl)-4-thiazolidinones (la-VIa) was carried by addition of thioglycolic acid to benzal-4-chloroanilines. The products la-VIa were identified and confirmed on the basis of elemental analysis and spectral studies and screened in vitro for their antifungal potential against Alternaria alternata, Fusarium oxysporum, Colletotrichum capsici, Myrothecium roridum and Ustilago tritici by spore germination inhibition technique.
