Mineral modifiers improve WPA production

摘要

The use of mineral modifiers in the production of wet process phosphoric acid is expected to increase in the Middle East. Michael Schorr and Israel F. Lin provide new data which show how the addition of perlite or kaolin to phosphate rock or the WPA reaction system reduces corrosion and pollution, whilst improving gypsum filterability and washing, plant capacity and product quality.
