Court upholds pesticide restrictions to protect northwestern salmon

Restrictions on the spraying of certain pesticides near salmon-bearing streams in the northwestern United States remain in place after the U.S.Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit affirmed a series of federal district court orders and decisions June 29.The appellate court decision rebuffed an appeal filed last year by pesticide and farming interests and EPA of the lower court's determinations in a lawsuit challenging 54 pesticide registrations.
