MRLs established for 8 pesticides

On Nov. 14 (EMRL2008-31, -30, -29, -28, -27, -26, -25, -24), Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency established maximum residue limits for eight pesticides: 1. Pyrasulfotole (5-hydroxy-1,3-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)[2-(methylsulfonyl)-4 (trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methanone, including the metabolite (5-hydroxy-3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)[2-(methylsulfonyl)-4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methanone in or on: liver of cattle, goats, horses and sheep at 0.35 ppm; oats at 0.8 ppm; meat byproducts (except liver) of cattle, goats, horses and sheep at 0.06 ppm; barley, eggs, fat and meat of cattle, goats, hogs, horses and sheep, fat, meat and meat byproducts of poultry, meat byproducts of hogs, rye, triticale and wheat, all at 0.02 ppm; and milk at 0.1 ppm.
