EPA requests 2007 IRIS nominations; releases toxicology reviews

EPA Dec. 22 requested nominations of chemical substances to be considered for assessment or reassessment in its 2007 Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) Program in addition to the 80 priority substances currently on the year's agenda. At the same time, the agency has released, for independent panel review, draft human health hazard and dose-response assessments of four congeners of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and 2,2,4-Trimethylpentane (TMP), which will appear in IRIS.
