Continued registration granted for pyrazon, sodium chlorate and sodium chlorite

Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency on April 24 granted continued registration for the sale and use of products containing pyrazon. According to PMRA, "an evaluation of available scientific information found that products containing pyrazon do not present unacceptable risks to human health or the environment when used according to label directions. However, as a condition of continued registration, new risk-reduction measures, including a restricted-entry interval and buffer zones, must be included on all pyrazon product labels.
