Exemption issued for ammonium soap salts of higher fatty acids

On July 9 (73 FR 39264), EPA issued a final rule amending § 180.1824 by establishing an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of ammonium soap salts of higher fatty acids (C8-C_(18) saturated; C8-C_(12)) unsaturated, in or on all food commodities when applied for the suppression and control of a wide variety of grasses and weeds. EPA announced Aug. 8, 2007 that Falcon Lab, LLC, Wilmington, Del., had petitioned the agency for the exemption. No comments were received in response to the filing notice.
