摘要

The first catalytic application of p-toluenesulfonyl chloride (p-TsCl) for the efficientand selective trimethylsilylation of various types of hydroxyl groups with hexam-ethyldisilazane (HMDS) in dichloromethane and desilylation of these compoundsin water is reported. The reactions were carried out at room temperature and werefound to proceed in good to excellent yields.
