Tetrakis(Trimethylsilyl) ethenylidenebisphosphonate: A mild and useful reagent for the synthesis of substituted 2-aminoethylidene-1,1-bisphosphonic acids

Tetrakis(trimethylsilyl) ethenylidenebisphosphonate is proposed as a substrate in the preparations of N-substituted 2-aminoethylidene-1,1- bisphosphonic acids. The method provides an extremely mild protocol for the synthesis of these compounds and is compatible with a wide range of functional groups.
