Manganese dioxide was found to catalyze stereoselective conversion of dialkyl 2-(imido-N-yl)-3-(triphenylphosphoranylidene)butanedioates to electron-poor (Z)-N-vinylimides in solvent-free conditions at 95degreesC in high coversions. [References: 12]
