Naphtopyranes 1 react with carbon disulfide and phenylthioisocyaitate to give the nap htopyranopyrimidodithiones 3 and the naphtopyranopyrimido-thiones 4 respectively. The structure of products 3 and 4 is confirmed by IR, NMR., and for some of the compounds by elemental analysis and LCMS.
