The Polar Communications and Weather Mission: Addressing remaining gaps in the Earth Observing System

Thé Polar Communications and Weather (PCW) mission proposes a constellation of two satellites in highly elliptical orbits to address spatio-temporal gaps of the Earth Observing System. Services similar to those available from geostationary satellites will then be extended to the circumpolar Arctic region.
