Bangladesh may defer its planned offshore bidding round in order to reserve some shallow water blocks for the country's sole oil and gas exploration company Bapex, reports Platts. It is also understood the Bangladeshi government has decided to re-demarcate its offshore exploration areas following a favourable verdict from a UN tribunal regarding a maritime border dispute with Myanmar.
