World's first interventionless gas well completion

What is claimed to be the world's first totally interventionless gas well completion recently took place at the Cana No. 1-15H step-out discovery well located in the north-east area of the Anadarko basin, US, using the EXcape~R completion process. Patented by Marathon Oil, with development assistance from Expro, BJ Services and GEODynamics, the EXcape completion process is reported to save considerable time and expense in well stimulation activity by isolating, remotely perforating and fracture stimulating across multiple zones, including the setting and removal of isolation devices.
