Best known for its communication firsts, mobile giant Vodacom recently made an upwardly mobile move in another arena - this time showing its commitment to practising water conservation.Vodacom has opened one of the largest corporate rainwater harvesting developments in Soutli Africa, with a R4,2 million system at its head office in Midrand. The R4.2 million rand harvesting system has a storage capacity of one mega litres and is aimed to harvest 12 million litres per annum, given a 537mm annual rainfall.The rainwater is to be collected in a storage dam with a total access area of 0.04km2.
