'Private security companies(PSCs)are filling a very important niche given the present huge military strain for nation states whose role it is to provide manpower at times of conflict' believes Bernie McCabe,the well-respected global head of security at Marathon Oil in Houston.McCabe,whose straight-talking policy is to provide his directors only with 'unadulterated facts',does,however,add an important caveat to future growth of the PSC industry:'As PSCs increasingly fill the void,vetting of staff is vital.'
