Malaysia's biodiesel plans

Malaysia,the world's largest producer of palm oil,has almost run out of land for new oil palm plantations at a time of surging demand from the nation's fast growing biodiesel industry,reports David Hayes.In August 2006,the government announced that licences had been approved for 52 biodiesel plants so far,with a combined capacity to produce over 5mn tonnes of biodiesel products each year.
