Aktau port to initially support TBC pipeline

Kazakhstan plans to initially use the port of Aktau to transport oil to Baku to be supplied into the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline,according to Kazakh Deputy Energy Minister Lyazzat Kiinov.It is planned to build a new termainal,either in the port of Kurik (76 km southeast of Aktau) or further to the south,close to the border with Turkmenistan,at a later date.
