Many companies are not totally convinced that their energy efficiency investments are actually worth it, and rightfully so. One of the reasons is the importance of measuring and verifying energy savings on energy efficiency investments is underestimated, if considered at all. A misconstrued opinion of the budget spent to become energy efficient is then formed. The situation could be compared with managing a company without an accounting system.
