Oil production from the 12 members of OPEC continued its upward climb in July 2011, increasing by 430,000 b/d from June to 30mn b/d, its highest level since December 2008, according to the latest (August) Platts survey of OPEC and oil industry officials and analysts. 'Even as OPEC production rises, global oil prices are falling,' said John Kingston, Platts Global Director of News.
