There is little sympathy in the expected demise or near bankruptcy of up to half the hedge funds whose activities for much of 2008 helped fuel the surge in global commodity markets,especially crude oil.Outside the financial environs there is little pity either for the collapse of many investment banks,whose traders had the financial muscle to move markets through speculative plays.
