Fossil fuel ecolabelling proposal

From lightbulbs to fridges, increasingly large numbers of products are rated for their impact on the environment, allowing consumers to make informed decisions about their purchase's carbon footprint. The fuel and energy sector is no exception. Sustainability criteria for the production of biofuels are being debated at the European Union (EU) and they are being drafted for biofuels through the Nordic countries' ecolabelling scheme, commonly known and branded as 'The Swan'. Indeed, vehicles used within the EU are already rated for their environmental impact, with dealers having to give information to consumers regarding emissions for example.
