First ever North sea field brought back to life

The UK Government has given the goahead for British companies Tuscan Energy and Acorn to redevelop the first ever UK North Sea oil field-Ardmore,formerly knownas Argyll.Activity at the field in block 30/24b came to an end in 1992 when operations became uneconomic and the project was decommissioned;ithas been lying fallow ever since.
