Freeze on tracking pressure mounts

UK Prime Minister David Cameron's shale gas ambitions look more at risk given the recent Scottish government moratorium on the granting of planning consents for all unconventional oil and gas developments, including fracking. Within days the Welsh Assembly backed a similar moratorium, adding to the pressure for a freeze on fracking. Given the pending UK elections, fracking plans seem set to be put on the back burner as MPs battle to win local seats.
