The global energy industry is undergoing a period of rapid change as it comes to terms with a future where the extraction and commercialisation of hydrocarbon resources becomes increasingly difficult. Speaking at February's IP Week in London, Rustom Mody, VP Technology, Completions and Projects at Baker Hughes, said: The easy oil is all gone. We are now in the era of ultra deep, unconventional oil and gas and EOR [enhanced oil recovery].'
