Computer manufacture,word processing,paper and ink production,printing,transportation networks etc-all requiring energy,much of it ultimately derived from the combustion of fossil fuels.Energy generation and other industrial activities have caused the atmospheric concentration of CO2 to increase by more than 35% over the past 200 years.And emission rates continue to grow-between 2000 and 2004 they rose by 3% each year.
