Buzzard field enters production

The Nexen-operated Buzzard field came onstream on 7 January 2007 and is claimed to be on time and on budget.With gross recoverable reserves of approximately 550mn boe.Buzzard is one of the largest oil fields to be discovered and developed in the UK North Sea in over a decade and is reported to be capable of supplying approximately 10% of the UK's annual forecast oil demand at peak rates.
