Oil production down for start of 2004

January 2004's oil production of 2,012,820 b/d was down by 1.9% on the month and 11.5% on the year,according to the latest(March)Oil and Gas Index from the Royal Bank of Scotland.The average oil price was up again at US30.84/b,breaking the US30/b mark for the first time since February 2003.This ensured that the revenues were maintained at ￡56.5mn/d.Gas production in January 2004 averaged 13,060mn cf/d.
