UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown announced a 1.9 p/I increase in fuel duty in his latest Budget.He also unveiled an incentive for the introduction of sulphur-free petrol and diesel(less than 10 ppm sulphur versus current 50 ppm or less)which will carry a duty rate 0.5 p/l lower than that currently applied to ultra-low sulphur fuels.
