Drawing on the findings of a recently published benchmarking study of the 10 largest quoted western oil and gas companies.Wood Mackenzie has found that development expenditure on upstream projects is at record highs,having risen from an aggregate of US34.6bn in 1998 to US49.5bn in 2003.
