Iraq opened its second post-war bidding round for international oil companies to develop some of the country's oil and gas fields in December. The licensing auctions offered 10 groups of fields - including the supergiants Majnoon and West Qurna-2 - each holding more than 12bn barrels. Forty-four companies took part in the bidding rounds.
