Moderate Gulf of Mexico block auction

The March auction of leases for offshore blocks in the central Gulf of-Mexico attracted dose to $1bn in bids from 67 oil and gas companies. Interest was roughly the same as last year, but far from the $5.7bn bid in the 2008 central Gulf auction, writes Judith Gurney.
