QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF THERMOSENSITIVE LIPOSOMES LOADED WITH DOXORUBICIN

Chromatographic and spectrophotometric methods for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of thermo-sensitive liposomes loaded with doxorubicin were developed. Lipids and doxorubicm in thermosensitive liposomes were separated by TLC using the two solvent systems CHCl_3:MeOH:NH_4OH (cone.) (65:25:4) and CHCl_3-MeOH:HOAc (glacial):H_2O (25:15:4:2). Chromatographic determination of sucrose m thermosensitive liposomes was performed using the solvent systems l,2-dichloroethane:HOAc (anhy-drous):MeOH:H_2O (10:5:3:2) or i-PrOH:Me_2CO:Et_2O:H_2O (7:7:2:4). The spectrophotometric assay for doxorubicin in thermosensitive liposomes was validated.
