Modern cell phones are used in a wide variety of applications. This paper presents a lossless image compression algorithm for remote desktop software suitable for use in cell phones. The algorithm is both simple and efficient. It uses two particular features of images generated by most applications running in Windows: a large amount of rectangular areas with the same color and a relatively small amount of colors used at the same time.
