It is possible to present medical knowledge in a more appropriate and more easily understood form using an outliner rather than in book form. However, the knowledge has to be reorganized for this purpose. A computer-supported diagnosis is achieved by activating individual elements from a propaedeutic list, leading to the formation of activated clusters in clinical multidimensional space, which then have to be balanced against each other by way of differential diagnosis.
