On Group Choice Procedures in Problems of Recognition and Reliability

The Weibull-Gnedenko distribution plays a central role in the theory of statistical control, reliability, and technical diagnostics. The problems of statistical estimates in a space of a sufficient statistic for this distribution are solved for the first time, methods for group pattern recognition are developed, and estimates for the probability of critical failure in complex systems are obtained. The statistical properties and qualitative characteristics of the estimates and decision rules are studied by analytical and numerical methods.
