EU updates ais on dangerous chemicals list

The European Commission has updated the list of agrochemical active ingredients (ais) covered by rales governing the import and export of dangerous chemicals. The move reflects recent EU reregistration decisions. The insecticide triflumuron, and the fungicide triazoxide, have been removed from the list, following successful reapplications to gain EU approval in 2011. Seven ais that did not gain reregistration have been added to the list: the herbicides dichlobenil, cyanamidc and propisochlor; the fungicides dicloran and ethoxyquin; the fumigant methyl bromide; and the plant growth regulator flurprimidol. The changes will apply starting April 1.
