EPA sustainability official says agency will push green chemistry for industry

An EPA official says the agency is "ramping up" its green chemistry capabilities to promote the widespread commercial application of green chemistry practices in the design and manufacture of products. EPA Sustainable Technology Division Director John Leazer was the guest speaker during a Nov. 16 webinar, "Green Chemistry Advances at EPA." It was the eighth in a series of webinars hosted this year by the Great Lakes Green Chemistry Network, an independent non-profit organization, and the Michigan Green Chemistry Clearing House, a state-funded institution that's intended to accelerate green chemistry awareness, innovation and investment in Michigan.
