Several unnamed EU member states have suggested that legislative changes are needed following the landmark European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruling that genetically engineered pollen in honey is an ingredient and should be labeled and regulated as such.Minutes released last week from an Oct. 24 meeting of the European Commission's Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health show that some member states said a change in biotech legislation should be considered. However, none had a firm plan for the change and asked the commission for "details on the potential different possibilities."
