Europeans say chemicals safer

Two-thirds of Europeans (61%) say chemicals on the EU market today are safer than 10 years ago, according to the findings of a Eurobarometer survey. The survey found people are generally well aware of the wide application of chemicals. 69% consider chemicals unavoidable in their daily life, 65% agree that products containing chemical substances have been tested properly in the EU and 75% relate chemicals to industrial innovations.
