AC21 strives for consensus following surprise pep talk by Vilsack

USDA's Advisory Committee on Biotechnology and 21st Century Agriculture (AC21) on May 30 reached tentative agreement that a crop insurance program for organic and other non-biotech commodities might be a good idea, as long as Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack examines solid data and decides that a compensation mechanism is needed.
