Iraq's oil ministry has given Norway's DNO and an alliance of Switzerland's Addax and Turkey's Genel Enerji the go-ahead to build spur pipelines from their oil fields — Tawke and Taq Taq, respectively — in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq and tie them into the main Kirkuk-Ceyhan export pipeline (PIW Oct.20,p8). But talks on export licenses continue, according to Iraqi Oil Minister Hussein al-Shahristani.
