Peru has ordered the withdrawal of three pesticide active ingredients (ais) within three months and lifted the suspension of all registrations of another two products. The Ministry of Agriculture's plant and animal health service, the Senasa, has confirmed the bans of the insecticides aldicarb and endosulfan, and ordered the removal of all insecticides/plant growth regulators based on lead arsenate. Resolution 0013/2012 grants registrants of the three ais 90 days from Feb. 1 to withdraw their products from the market. In contrast, it has lifted the suspensions on the insecticide methamidophos, and the herbicide paraquat.
