EPA to regulate perchlorate in drinking water despite OIG call for cumulative risk assessment

Despite its Office of Inspector General's belief that a national drinking water standard for perchlorate, nitrate and thiocyanate may be appropriate based on a cumulative risk assessment of the three chemicals, EPA is moving forward with developing a drinking water standard for perchlorate alone.
