摘要

FDA researchers observed no developmental effects in rats exposed to the estrogenic compound bisphenol A prenatally and throughout nursing, according to a study being touted by the North American Metal Packaging Alliance (NAMPA). Researchers from FDA's National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) dosed pregnant Sprague-Dawley rats with 2.5 or 25 micrograms per kilogram of body weight per day of BPA, or 5.0 or 10.0 μg/kg/day of ethinyl estradiol, a synthetic estrogen used as a control substance for the study. The offspring were then treated with the same dose their mother received.
