Cut the honeydew, derail the ants.

摘要

This paper presents new research showing that systemic pesticides (such as thiamethoxam) that target honeydew-producing aphids change ants (including rover and odorous house ants) foraging behaviour and may help eliminate infestations. It is believed that the use of systemic insecticide improves the efficacy of perimeter control and is an easy shift for companies already doing lawn and ornamental work. Plus, eliminating hemipterans improves the health of customer's landscaping plants.
